Training Lifecycle

How The Programme Works

Step-by-step vocational journey from online admission to hands-on workshop drills, industrial attachment, and recognized engineering trade certification.

1
Stage One

Registration, Screening & Aptitude Assessment

Prospective artisans register online, choose their primary and secondary trade preferences from the nine approved engineering categories, and submit identification credentials. The Admissions Directorate conducts aptitude screening to align trainees with the trade that matches their physical aptitude and career aspirations.

2
Stage Two

Applied Technical Instruction & Workshop Safety

Trainees undergo foundational classroom and laboratory instruction covering engineering blueprints, schematic interpretation, workshop mathematics, and rigorous Occupational Health and Safety (HSE) protocols before entering workshop spaces.

3
Stage Three

80% Intensive Hands-On Workshop Drills

The core phase takes place at the UNICROSS Central Engineering Workshops. Trainees engage in real-world fabrication, engine repairs, electrical wiring, solar panel mounting, and machining under master technologists with extensive industrial experience.

4
Stage Four

Industrial Attachment & Employer Linkages

Trainees are deployed for supervised industrial exposure with leading manufacturing firms, power distribution stations, construction contractors, and specialized engineering workshops across Cross River State.

5
Stage Five

Practical Competency Assessment

Assessors evaluate trainees on individual practical projects, diagnostic speed, tolerance accuracy, and safety compliance according to national vocational standards and Federal Ministry of Labour Trade Test specifications.

6
Stage Six

Graduation, Certification & Enterprise Launch

Graduates receive the joint UNICROSS Certificate, NATE Professional Recognition, and business startup mentorship through our entrepreneurship development coaching.
